Turner's Board of Selectmen recognizes that all residents are doing their best to adjust to the COVID-19 virus outbreak. In consideration of the health and safety of our residents and staff, please note the following changes now in effect.
Town Office - The Town Office is closed to public access through April 30. The building will be staffed, and residents are urged to conduct transactions online or via phone to the greatest practical extent. Please click here for information on how to do business remotely. Town Meeting and Elections - Turner's Town Meeting and local referendum election, scheduled for April 3 and 4, is postponed. The new dates will be announced once it is appropriate to do so - with ample notice. The Town Report has already been printed and contains information stating these events will be held as originally scheduled. Mailing of the report will be delayed until the new dates are established. The reports will have a sticker on the cover announcing the new dates. Please also keep watch here and on the town's Facebook page for up to date information on when and where these events will be scheduled.
Boofy Quimby Memorial Center - All activities are cancelled until May 1.
Code Enforcement/Building Permits - Many of these can be issued without a trip to the Town Office - click here. Please visit the Code Enforcement page (under Departments, above) for permit applications.
Fire/Rescue Building - This building is open for staff only. No public admission.
Burning Permits - Please purchase online only, per order of Fire Warden. Do not come to the station for a permit.
Transfer Station - The Transfer Station is open but residents are prohibited from entering any building. The Swap Shop is closed. Please maintain a 6-foot social distance from other users and staff.
Planning Board Meeting/Public Hearings - All Planning Board meetings are suspended until further notice.
Food Pantry - The Food Pantry will be open on April 29.
Board of Selectmen - Meetings of the Board of Selectmen are continuing on the first and third Mondays of each month, but may be moved outside if more than 10 people total are in attendance. The town does not have the technical capacity to provide electronic, interactive access.
