Help Wanted – Public Works General Worker

The Town of Turner is seeking a dependable worker to perform an assortment of needed tasks.  This employee will work primarily with the Public Works Department where duties will include traffic control, snow removal, road construction, basic vehicle maintenance, tree and brush control, patching, and the like.  This employee will also assist with general building repairs and maintenance and be temporarily assigned to other departments as needed.   A valid Maine driver’s license and clean driving record are required, and a CDL is preferred.  The pay rate is higher for employees with a CDL.  Assistance may be provided to help the right employee obtain a CDL if needed.  General, related work experience is helpful but not required.  Training will be primarily on the job, as necessary.  This is a full-time position with paid time off and benefits, including additional compensation if insurance is not needed.  Interested individuals should submit an employment application (available at Town Office or on our website) no later than Monday, July 6.  The Town of Turner is an equal opportunity employer.
